Die Scaliger-Burg von Sirmione<\/h2>\n

Die Scaligero Burg liegt an der Grenze zwischen der Halbinsel und der Insel des historischen Zentrums und ist eine der am besten erhaltenen und vollst\u00e4ndigsten Burgen Italiens.<\/p>\n

Die Festung wird auf allen Seiten von den Wassern des Sees sowie den Mauern und den drei Hauptt\u00fcrmen gewaschen, die ein nat\u00fcrliches und architektonisches Schauspiel ohnegleichen schaffen. Der Bau der Burg von Sirmione begann im 13. Jahrhundert im Auftrag von Mastino della Scala auf den Resten einer r\u00f6mischen Festung.<\/p>\n

Im Inneren der Burg befindet sich ein r\u00f6mischer und mittelalterlicher Lapidarium sowie ein kleines Ausstellungsmuseum.<\/p>\n

Die Catull-H\u00f6hlen<\/h2>\n

In der Antike war Sirmione aufgrund seiner Lage an der wichtigen Verbindungsstra\u00dfe zwischen Brescia und Verona als Erholungsort f\u00fcr alle erm\u00fcdeten Reisenden bekannt.<\/p>\n

In der Renaissancezeit bezeichneten sie den Begriff „H\u00f6hle“, von den zerst\u00f6rten H\u00e4usern und von Vegetation bedeckt, wie in der Tat ist es diese r\u00f6mische Villa, die der Familie Catullus zugeschrieben wird.<\/p>\n
